This post outlines what is happening now throughout the World and what we of the Isis Group Network commit to do about it in our own lives. We hope our words and actions resonate with other persons and organizations and they choose to collaborate with us. Late in 2006 I posted an earlier version. Now is the time to publish a new version.
Many of the most creative and productive people no longer want to live in relationships or work in organizations led, structured and operated as inhuman machines. That is the pattern of the vast majority of conventional organizations, large and small. We call them Linear Machine System environments. Leading-edge persons reject subservience to the command and control model of management used in those organizations. They want to live and work in new ways in open human environments aligned with a new human identity emerging within them. They want to use new patterns for creating and productivity. The Isis Group calls these Human Living System environments.
I emphasize, the most creative and productive people no longer want to work for the vast majority of existing organizations. This issue has become critical for the effectiveness of all organizations - publc and private. Many conventional leaders and managers are not aware of this issue – Many deny it exists, few see it and still fewer are doing anything about it – Except making the problem worse by trying to fix-up problems using the current linear pattern of life and work rather than transforming to the emerging living system paradigm.
It is useful to mention that many examples of emerging Human Living System environments exist. One notable example is the Hacker community. My research and experience verify that the core principles of the Hacker (Not the Cracker) community are congruent with the principles of Human Living Systems. Hackers created and are continuing to develop Open Source, Web Based software systems. Hackers are examples of most creative and productive leading-edge humans. They live and work in ways that are not yet widely recognized as harbingers of newly emerging patterns of Human Living System leadership, organization, and entrepreneurship. We find that the concepts and practices of the "Open Source" movement are broader and more widely applicable than just for the software revolution. Other parallel "Open Source" revolutions are also in process. The Isis Group is active in these positive developments leading to remarkably better ways to live and work.
Why are these things happening now? The answer is - We live and work at one of the few times of World transformation in human history. The seventh to be exact. At such times a new pattern of human nature appears on Earth within the psyches of leading-edge persons. So, a new concept and practice of human psyche functioning, a new paradigm, is at the core of today's world human transformations.
The new psyche stage pattern is invisible to the majority because the number of persons functioning in the new human psyche stage pattern is still small and the unique human identity of those persons makes no sense to the existing majority.
The prevailing pattern of human events during times of world human transformation is great turmoil and chaos. This comes in parallel with a new human re-birth. Thus, mankind lives through a real example of the Myth of the Phoenix. This pattern of decline and destruction in parallel with the emergence of a new era of human capacity has repeated at every major turning point in history - In fact it is the insignia of transformation. An existing, still dominant pattern of civilization (Pattern of Living and Working) is in terminal decline while a nascent pattern of civilization appears and then begins to grow non-linearly toward eventual dominance.
Isis Group Network learning and programs enable you to understand the world transformation for yourself and to learn how to pursue Living System Life and Work through collaborating with others like you. This leading-edge knowledge and practice can not come from conventional sources – Personal, professional or educational. Most of the conventional today is based upon linear machine system patterns - That are fixated on current directions and add-on knowledge, not based on new living system knowledge of what is emerging.
Why, you still ask, is this transformation so difficult to see and deal with? Part of the answer is - The existing majority are consumed with trying to fix-up a complex mass of severe problems using obsolete concepts and practices. In addition, their psyche stage patterns do not enable them to see that their problems are not fixable during this special period without first making their own human transformation to the newly emerging stage. Therefore, they see no need to transform their basic human nature. They do not see that the conventional pattern of life and work is in terminal decline from its former effectiveness for leading the world of human affairs. They do not yet see that the birth of the new human psyche stage pattern inherently contains new human competencies that are keys for transcending current problems, not just solving them.
Most of human history occurs between the relatively brief periods of world transformation. Between transformation periods the major problems and opportunities in human affairs CAN be handled through then conventional problem solving using the then dominant human psyche stage pattern. It still works – It is not yet in terminal decay. But during transformation periods, the situation is drastically different. Then the dominant human psyche stage IS in terminal decline but the majority cannot perceive this. Thus, major problems and opportunities CAN be seen and handled only through transforming to the emerging human psyche stage pattern – All else turns out to be futile.
During transformation periods, persons experiencing the emerging psyche stage pattern begin to re-create their lives and organizations in qualitatively new ways, discontinuous from what then currently exists. They are a new Genre – a new category – of leader/entrepreneurs who develop new paths and standards for outstanding results. They are led beyond previous human accomplishments. They eventually become the new majority that replaces who and what currently exist. The Isis Group Network's one and only focus is serving and collaborating with this emerging new Genre of leader/entrepreneurs.
Today at the leading edge of our current world transformation, the emerging persons and their organizations are not yet generally recognized, understood, valued or even tolerated by most of the existing majority. Existing organizations do not generally encourage or nurture their contributions. In fact, many emerging persons today do not know how to recognize, understand or value themselves. They are so discontinuous from what currently exists they may consider themselves to be somewhat weird.
The Isis Group discovered, and continues to develop, a new model of human reality that validates those of the new Genre. Like souls who can understand and value them are still limited. Persons beginning to function in the new human psyche stage know that they feel, think, are motivated and behave in ways that are out-of-step with many other persons and organization norms. They are like the legendary American comic Rodney Dangerfield who often said – “I don’t get no respect!” This is a normal situation during world human transformation periods. It existed at each of the six previous turning points in human history. It exists today.
This time the emerging new era is so dramatically different from the previous patterns of human life and work, that we named it, and branded it, as the 2nd Renaissance. Its most important result is the leap to the Human Living System pattern of life and away from work from the still dominant, but declining, Linear Machine System and Relativistic Collectivist System patterns of life and work. This human leap is drastically changing everything and leads directly to its new path for success that is inconsistent with the current path.
The fundamental need today is to transform your human and business identity to align with the emerging pattern of Living System Life and Work. That is why serving 2nd Renaissance leader/entrepreneurs is the Isis Group Network's focus - Its only focus. We are working to satisfy unfilled needs for learning, for collaboration and for services that enable them to make these transformations and implement applications in the new pattern. Such learning, services and collaboration are not available through conventional institutions. The Isis learning and programs are the sources needed to understand and validate ourselves and to create our new pattern of life and work.
The Isis Group Network's Identity is the same as the emerging psyche stage pattern. We give it the name "Stage A’ Living System" pattern. Its Purpose is to satisfy the unfilled needs of emerging leader/entrepreneurs or those with the driving desire to become one.
